I have been going to the Barnstaple drop ins weekly since my son was 2 months old. Everyone is so welcoming there! I also booked Holly (lactation consultant) for extra help. Their pay what you can service is so generous and she has been such a big support in my breastfeeding journey ![]()
I have been going to the drop in group in Torrington since my little girl was born and still attend a year later. I’m so grateful for the non judgemental support I have received from early nourishment at these groups, and it’s really encouraged me to continue to parent the way that I want to! We also went to a baby massage course which was great and helped me meet mums with babies of similar ages! Can’t recommend them enough ![]()
Well done Atta for creating magic in the rain, We had a great time as always

They made a real effort to welcome me… it was nerve-wracking with a three-week-old. It’s amazing that this is free.
It’s nice to just hang out. You don’t have to go for advice.
Made really good friends through massage—we still meet up.
It’s hard showing up to things, but you’re made to feel so welcome.

Xeni was a fantastic coach and she made me feel so welcome and at ease and that’s just what new mums need when starting out in parenthood. We had a few issues with the location of the course each week but Xeni explained this right at the very beginning and each week made it clear where we were going and gave us all enough time to prepare etc. The course itself was great fun for me and my baby and informative too, but I have to say it’s the coach that makes the course what it is, and whether you want to return each week and Xeni made it such an enjoyable and inviting experience, thank you to Xeni!
Xeni is amazing, not only at delivering the course but also at making everyone feel so welcome and creating a warm, caring environment. She is very knowledgeable and I love learning from her. Additionally, I appreciated the thoughtful conversation starter topics each week which encouraged us all to talk and share.
We thoroughly enjoyed the class. Xeni was amazing and went above and beyond to accommodate everyone. She is a great teacher and creates such a lovely atmosphere. I attended the whole course, and brought along my husband and mother-in-law, separately, for couple of sessions. They couldn’t believe such a well thought and well put together course is freely available! I also enjoyed the short weekly topics to make us pause for a second a d think. Xeni managed the sessions really well and the WhatsApp chat was very helpful tool for communication before and after each session. I first found out about the Early Nourishment Group through an online search and attended one of their drop-in sessions in Barnstaple. Through that, I met the lovely Attasera and others. It was my first time going anywhere with my baby, and I felt very welcomed and in safe hands. She recommended the massage class, as well as the lovely IBCLC Holly, with whom I had two sessions. I received plenty of breastfeeding support regarding pumping to increase my supply, flange fittings, and overall reassurance, along with solid and reliable information.
