Modern Slavery Statement
Early Nourishment CIC
Early Nourishment CIC is committed to safeguarding the rights, safety and wellbeing of all people we work with. As a community organisation supporting families during the perinatal period, we recognise our duty to prevent modern slavery, human trafficking and exploitation in all areas of our work and influence.
Although we operate on a small scale, we take reasonable and practical steps to ensure our activities, partnerships and procurement processes uphold ethical standards. We engage mainly with local suppliers, freelancers and community venues, and we expect all partners to comply with UK employment law, provide safe working conditions and treat workers fairly.
Our staff and volunteers are encouraged to stay alert to signs of exploitation, particularly when working with vulnerable parents or families who may face additional risks. Any concerns raised will be taken seriously, recorded, and acted upon using our safeguarding procedures.
We continue to review our policies to ensure they reflect best practice in the charity sector, including transparency, responsible purchasing, and the protection of vulnerable individuals. This statement is reviewed annually and approved by our directors.
