Torridge Hypnobirthing & Antenatal Courses
Our 6 week hypnobirthing and antenatal courses are with a qualified KGHypnobirthing teacher, and cover topics such as the power of the mind, how hormones work, breathing techniques, the onset of labour, relaxation techniques and how to feel empowered and in control throughout your pregnancy and birth. We also have a dedicated session on breastfeeding with a qualified breastfeeding counsellor, and information on perinatal mental health, the ‘fourth trimester’ and life with a newborn, and how to cope with challenges you may face as a new parent.
Courses are FREE and are not only a way for expectant parents to gather evidence-based information about the birth process and how to achieve the birth they want, but also a great way to meet other expectant parents who can become lifelong friends. Once all the babies from a course have arrived, we hold a reunion which includes a FREE Baby Sensory North Devon class.
So book onto our next course and meet new people, learn about parenthood and gain confidence in your body’s ability to give birth naturally. Classes are held in various locations throughout Torridge, so keep an eye on our Eventbrite page for details of our next course! Limited spaces are available so early booking is advised!

“I have huge anxiety over giving birth but the course came at the right time and charlotte’s classes have made me feel so much better about labour. I’m still scared but knowing I have the hypnobirthing to focus on has massively helped me”
“They’ve taught me the techniques to practice hypnobirthing and offered space and time for interesting discussion with my husband and others around the birth process.“
“Charlotte has been amazing, so friendly and welcoming and we are very grateful that she was able to offer these courses for free! She would answer any questions you have and has made it very clear we are always welcome to contact her if need be which is so kind. Thank you so much to you”
“I found them all very useful! Charlotte was very caring and supportive, as I attended the group mainly by myself due to my partner working away Charlotte was very inclusive and always made me feel included. As well as this Charlotte was very knowledgeable!”
